About Bodegas As Laxas
Rias Baixas, Spain
As Laxas has a long, rich tradition reaching back to 1862 and was one of the first cellars in the region to be awarded Rias Baixas D.O. status. Situated in the north-western corner of the Iberian peninsula above Portugal, Rias Baixas is considered the home of the Albarino variety, the most sublime of Spanish whites. The fresh breezes of the Atlantic ocean play an integral role in creating its classic fresh, aromatic flavours, and makes it a perfect accompaniment to seafood.
