About Weingut Etz
This family winery, founded in 1898, is now in the hands of fourth generation Franz Etz. Their 40 hectares of vineyards are located over several renowned sites of the Kamptal, between Langenlois and Grafenegg. The winery itself has been thoroughly modernised with state of the art cellar technology to bring out the best in their aromatic whites.
The cornerstone of their production is Gruner Veltliner, Austria’s signature white varietal, and is a terrific example of the style. We have also brought in a small quantity of Blauer Zweigelt - a deliciously light bodied yet aromatic red that makes a fantastic alternative to Pinot Noir and Gamay.
