Bodega del Abad Bierzo, Spain

Bodega del Abad is situated in the most prestigious and historic district of the Bierzo region. With around 40 hectares under vine, they focus solely on the two renowned varietals indigenous to the region - Godello and Mencia - with some of their Mencia vines being over 80 years old.

The winery is located on the original route of the Camino de Santiago, the world-famous pilgrimage trail, and the circular insignia represented in the logo represents the single window of the tiny village church that has historically served as a clinic for weary pilgrims seeking medical assistance.
